Brittney Coleman currently lives in Silvis, IL and serves at YouthHope's Rock Island Youth Center as Children's Director. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Faith has always been an integral part of her life, and ministry has always been her focus. Even as a child, Brittney understood the importance of church and community fellowship. The concept of community and church community has been the basis on which she has built her life.
Youth and children have always been Brittney’s passion, and she often finds herself teaching and bringing the truth of Jesus to youth and children. Brittney's purpose and goal is to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is death, burial, and resurrection, by empowering youth and children to build authentic relationships with the Lord and developing future ministry leaders.
Brittney attended Mississippi State University for Educational Psychology. Upon graduation, she was employed by the Kemper County School District. She decided to continue with a post-secondary degree in higher education administration from Mississippi College while working with Weems Community Mental Health. Brittney continued her passion for youth by engaging youth in Meridian, MS, with activities and informational sessions.
Brittney loves her family and enjoys spending time with her church family at The Refuge. During her time at The Refuge, her most notable memory is attending the Tent Revival this year, where she experienced God's presence and tangible healing.
“And let us know be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:7
