Amanda Le comes to YouthHope as a former board member and an experience non-profit administration and accounting professional!

Amanda was born and raised in Moline where she now lives with her husband and two wonderful and energetic children (a girl and a boy  both under 4). She attended  Blackhawk Community College after graduating from Moline High School, transferred to the Western Illinois University - Quad Cities and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Amanda serves on the praise team at her church and plays the keyboard. She can also sing in four languages: English, Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean!

When I was younger, I wondered if I would be called to be an overseas missionary. As I grew older, I felt a calling to serve locally. Deep down, I  hoped someday to play an important role at an organization, like a supervisory or managerial role.

I’ve learned that no matter what role you hold, it is most important to work together to serve others and share Christ’s amazing love for them.

Fun Fact about Amanda:

I sponsored my husband from Switzerland using the Fiance visa. He was born in Vietnam but was studying abroad in Switzerland at the time that I sponsored him. Long story short, one of my former pastor’s wives introduced me to her nephew, Timothy. He and I talked via FaceBook and via phone and the rest is history!
